Josephine Baker (1906-1975) is one of the best actresses of all times. She was in many different plays and shows in her time. Some of them were Chocolate Dandies, and Schuffle Along. Her first performance was with the Dixie Steppers at age 14. One of her most famous is La Folie de Jour. Next, at the beginning of World War Two, she obtained information for the French Military Intelligence. A couple years later, she volunteered to help with the Red Cross when Germany's army invaded Belgium. She helped all the refugees that were flooding into France. Over the next couple years she decided she wanted a family, a few children from all different races. She had adopted 12 kids over the next couple years, 10 boys and 2 girls. She called all these kids the Rainbow Tribe. The one bad thing that happened during this time is that her husband left her. Josephine Baker made a difference in her time in the world by providing enjoyment to the entire world with her unique performance abilities, and helped during World War Two.
